Social Dancing

At Simmons Dance Studio we often have social dances and cabarets to promote socialising while you dance. Socials are a good chance to meet new people and improve your dancing skills, while still having fun. We try to choose music relevant to the particular age group to encourage people to have a great time. A large variety of dances are used at the socials in Latin American, Standard and New Vogue styles. We are always open to requests for other dances too.

Cabarets are usually split into two different age groups; one for adults only and one for the whole family, and social dances are specifically designed for adults or families respectively.

A social dance for adults is held every Tuesday night. It runs from 8pm till 10:30pm and costs $10. This includes free coffee and cake.
A social dance for the younger generation (under 16) is on every Friday night from 6:30pm till 8pm, costing $7

Adult cabarets are usually held on the second Saturday of each month. They usually run from 8pm to midnight and cost $12. This includes coffee and cake.

Family Cabarets are held less regularly, and are subject to change. They usually run from 7pm to 11pm, and cost $9.
